Block PNB Bank Credit Card, How to Block PNB Credit Card

Customers who create a savings account with Punjab National Bank receive a free credit card. Customers can use this credit card to buy things online or at POS (Point of Sale) terminals.

How to Block PNB Credit Card

While using a credit card to make purchases online or in physical places is generally safe and secure, caution must be taken to prevent online fraudsters from obtaining or duplicating credit card information (via skimming). When people think they have lost their PNB credit card or discover someone else has been using it illegally, they can choose to block their card.

Block PNB Credit Card

The first thing a PNB (Punjab National Bank) customer should do if their credit card is lost, stolen, or suspected of being used to withdraw money from their account is to get it blocked.

Users of Punjab National Bank have three options for blocking their credit cards: by SMS, internet banking, or by phoning the bank’s customer service department.

Using Net Banking to block the card

  • Open a PNB Net Banking session.
  • Select ‘ATM/Debit Card Hotlisting’ under the ‘Value Added Service’ heading.
  • Select ‘Account Number’ from the drop-down menu.
  • After selecting “Continue,” the card associated with the designated account will appear.
  • Pick a card number. If the card number is not visible, you may manually input it in the box next to “Card Number.”
  • After entering your IBS Transaction Password, click “Submit”.

Immediately following successful hotlisting, a confirmation message will show up.

Using a mobile app to block the credit card

The following are the steps to secure the card using the app:

  • Enter your login information to operate the PNB One App.
  • Select “Credit Card” from the menu, then select “Hotlist Credit Card” on the next screen.
  • From the drop-down list, choose the account number that contains the card that needs to be added to the hotlist.
  • When finished, click ‘Continue’.
  • Select the correct card number after seeing the card associated with the chosen account.
  • After entering the transaction password, click “Continue.”

A credit card cannot be removed from the hotlist after it has been added.

Using Customer Care to block the credit card

  • By calling PNB’s credit card customer service line, you may also ban or add your credit card to a hotlist.
  • Calling the bank’s contact center agent at 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222, or through the paid helpline number 0120-2490000 will allow you to stop the card.
  • Additionally connected to the aforementioned toll-free lines is the IVRS module. You can also send an SMS (HOT>space>Card Number) to 5607040 from your registered mobile number, for example, HOT 5545620002358767.

Offline Credit Card Blocking

You can also ban your credit card by going to the Punjab National Bank location that is closest to you. You will need to carry the necessary identification papers along with your credit card information. You can have the card stopped with the assistance of a bank professional.

There are several methods for blocking or adding your credit card to a “hot list” if it is stolen or lost. You must report any loss or theft of your PNB credit card to stop fraudulent behavior.
