How to Link PAN Card with Aadhaar Card

1. If you haven’t previously, you can link your PAN and Aadhaar by following these steps.
2. Go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to access the income tax e-filing portal.
3. On the Home Page, click “Link Adhaar” on the left.
4. Type in your PAN card number.
5. Type the Aadhaar card number.
6. Enter your birthdate to login.
7. A pop-up window will prompt you to link your PAN and Aadhaar.
8. Select “Link Aadhaar” from the menu bar’s “Profile Settings” section.
9. Compare the PAN information on the screen to what is listed in your Aadhaar.
10. You must update either your PAN card or your Aadhaar card if the information on both differs.
11. Enter your Aadhaar number and click “Link Now” if the information on your PAN card or Aadhaar card matches.
12. If the linking of your PAN card or Aadhaar card was successful, a pop-up notification will let you know.

How to Check Aadhar Link Status with PAN

1. Go to https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal, the official website of the income tax e-filing portal.
2. From the homepage’s left side menu, select “Link Aadhaar Status.”
3. Fill up the new page with the PAN Card and Aadhaar Card numbers.
4. Select View Aadhaar Link Status View Status.
5. If PAN and Aadhaar are connected, an Al Ready PAN card will display the connection.
6. If PAN and Aadhaar are not connected, a notice saying that PAN and Aadhaar are not linked will appear.
