Port Jio to Airtel, How to Port Jio to Airtel?

How to Port Your Existing Mobile Number From Jio to Airtel: Airtel offers Mobile Number Portability (MNP) for prepaid and premium rates.

How to Port Jio to Airtel

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data shows that Airtel had more new wireless users in October than Reliance Jio. This makes Airtel one of the biggest telecom companies in the country. Airtel has a wide range of deals and its streaming service, Airtel Xstream. You can get prepaid and postpaid lines, with plans ranging from cheap to expensive and full of features. So, if you want to move from Jio to Airtel, you can use Airtel’s Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service.

Like other service providers, Airtel has an MNP feature that makes it easy for users to change service providers without changing their numbers. We have compiled a step-by-step guide on moving your Jio cell number to Airtel’s prepaid or premium service.

How to move your Jio phone number to an Airtel prepaid phone

If you want a prepaid link, Airtel has two plans on its website that you can use to port your cell phone number. With the Rs. 297 plan, you get 1.5GB of data daily, unlimited calls for 28 days, and 100 SMS. The plan also includes access to Airtel Xstream and Wynk Music. With the Rs. 497 plan, you can use your phone for 56 days, get 1.5GB of data per day, 100 SMS per day, and make unlimited calls. You also get membership to Airtel Xstream and Wynk Music. Airtel also claims KYC service at your door (depending on where you live), delivery of your new SIM card on the same day, and quick registration. Follow these steps to move your Jio or other service provider number to Airtel:

  • Go to the main page for Airtel.
  • The two plans are on the left side of the page. Choose whichever one you like best.
  • On the right, you’ll see a form that asks for your name, cell number, and whether you want to port your number or get a new one.
  • Make sure to choose Port.
  • Type in the address.
  • Press the Send button.

You will be told to have your address and proof of ID ready when your SIM card is sent. You can also keep track of your new SIM through the Airtel Thanks app. You must contact the app from Google Play or the App Store and sign in with your port-in number. Then, you can track your new SIM in real time. You can also turn on the new SIM with the app.

How to change your Jio phone number to an Airtel monthly number

Airtel has two plans for prepaid users who want to switch. The Rs. 499 plan includes 75GB of data per month, unlimited talking, 100 SMS per day, and extras like a free membership to Amazon Prime Video for a year and free subscriptions to Airtel Xstream and Disney+ Hotstar VIP. The ‘For me and my family’ plan costs Rs. 999, giving you 150GB of monthly data, unlimited talks, 100 SMS per day, and a free add-on link. You also have access to the same things that people pay for.

To move to Airtel postpaid, do the following:

  • Click the “Buy” button on either of the two plans.
  • Ensure that Switch to Airtel (with the same number) is chosen in the form on the right.
  • Type in your name, location, city, and cell phone number.
  • Press the Send button.

When you click “Submit,” you should get an SMS confirming your request and saying Airtel will contact you soon. On the next page, it will tell you to have your address and proof of ID ready, and it will also ask you to expect a call for a new SIM.

You can also visit a nearby Airtel store to make an MNP request in person.
